Overview

Built for the Peace Region.

When the temperature drops and lines, valves or equipment freeze, our steam trucks get production moving again. Diesel-fired boilers deliver consistent steam pressure for thaw, cleaning and decontamination work in any weather.

Steam trucks are an essential winter tool for any operator running production through northern BC and the Alberta Peace. When wellheads freeze off, flowlines plug, valves seize or culverts ice over, a steam unit restores flow without shock-cooling pipe or damaging equipment.

- How it works

Our process

  1. 01

    Call out

24/7 dispatch - most cold-weather thaw calls are rolling within the hour during freeze-up season.

  2. 02

    Set up & boiler-up

Truck positioned upwind of work, boiler brought to working pressure, hoses staged with insulated wraps for long runs.

  3. 03

    Thaw or clean

Steam delivered through wands, lances or internal nozzles - controlled heat that won't shock or warp pipe and vessels.

  4. 04

    Verify & stand down

Flow confirmed restored or surface verified clean; operator documents the work for the customer's maintenance records.

Common questions

How fast can you respond to a freeze-off?
Freeze-up season we keep trucks pre-staged in the Peace. Most calls inside our coverage area are en route within 30 – 60 minutes of dispatch.
Can you thaw long pipeline sections?
Yes. We run up to 300 ft of insulated hose and can stage multiple units for long runs or parallel thaws on the same line.
Do you offer cold-weather standby?
We hold standby agreements with producers and pipeline operators through the cold months - call dispatch to set up coverage before the freeze.
